The Southridge Village Nursing and Rehab held their 2017 pageant on Tuesday. Nine residents competed for the title of 2017 Miss Southridge. They were Doris Ashton, Karen Meek, Kathy Jo Hodge, Bobbie Linn, Clarine Heseman, Linda King, Lynn Lancaster, Cynthia England and Addie Brescia.

Mistress of Ceremonies was Myra Trobis and Judges were Ronda Cornett of Baptist Health, Cleburne County Judge Jerry Holmes and The Sun Times Editor, Dawn Teer.  Entertainment was provided by Jessika Deaton who performed two songs while they were tallying the votes.

The 2016 Miss Southridge Village Nursing and Rehab Miss Terri Layrock told everyone how much she had enjoined her reign and wished all of the contestants luck.

Doris Ashton won the Best Interview, Karen Meek won Best Dress, Linda King won Best Smile, Lynn Lancaster won Best Hair, Cynthia England won the Glitz and Glamour Award, Addie Brescia won Miss Congeniality. Second runner up was Kathy Jo Hodge, First runner up was Bobbie Linn and Clarine Heseman was named the 2017 Queen.
