Boy Scout Troop 754 participated in the 48th annual Greers Ferry Lake Cleanup day on Saturday, September 9th.  Seventeen youth and five adults made their way across an island picking up trash that had washed ashore or got left behind by people visiting the island.  Part of the scouting program includes service to the community and learning the methods of "Leave No Trace," which includes leaving a place better than you found it.  Participating in the annual cleanup helps Scouts to accomplish both.  Scouts who attended the cleanup were:  Aaron Combs, Brandon Scott, Drew Block, Evan Combs, Hunter Cox, Jackson Adams, Jacob Stine, Justin Barnard, Keaton Deberry, Keith Hurst, Logan Perkins, Luke Elliott, Mark Shauver, Marshall Phillips, Noah Treadway, Samuel Freeman, and Thomas Spears.
