The CC Relay for Life held its’ annual event at Spring Park on Friday, September15. The theme this year was Cat in the Hat and many Dr. Seuss characters were seen walking around the park.
These 11 Teams participated at Relay and had tent booths set up:
Aromatique Team Hope, Baptist Health Family Clinic, Eagle Bank, Kent Krutchfiled, Zenatopia Massage, Seven Spring Rehab & Health, Sons of the American Legion, Post 64, Southridge Nursing & Rehab, Team Believe, Unity Health, Wal Mart and
Wilburn Family & Friends.
Teams winning awards were Best Team Spirit: Team Believe and
Best Campsite: Team Believe. The Best Spirit Stick was given to Aromatiques’ Team Hope. The Most Money Raised award went to Eagle Bank and the 365 Alive (Most fundraising throughout the year) went to Eagle Bank.
The scavenger hunt that occurred at midnight was won by the Wal-Mart team with an added addition of Dawn Teer with The Sun Times. Team members were Skyra Miller, Jennetta Richard, Austin Webb, Elizabeth Stormen and Dawn Teer. Members won a reed diffuser from Aromatique.
Marilyn Wright, Chairman of the event thanked everyone who participated and businesses who donated items.
