The Heber Springs Fire Department has responded to several calls this past week. First they responded with Engine 1 and Engine 2 to a residential structure fire at noon on Thursday, November 16 on Bridal Veil Falls Road. No residents were injured in the fire. Then on Saturday, November 18, Heber Springs Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire on Industrial Park Road with Engine 1, Engine 2, Engine 3, Engine 5, and Rescue 1. At approximately 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, Heber Springs Fire Department responded with Engine 1, Engine 2, Rescue 1, and Brush Truck 1 to a brush fire. The fire was extinguished before it spread to nearby structures.
As we enter the holiday season residents should keep live Christmas trees watered, check extension cords and lights for damage, and have chimneys cleaned to prevent fires.
