It’s a wonderful life for the holidays in our little town of Heber Springs.  All of the elves are working diligently to bring it alive for Christmas.  There are people working behind the scenes putting up Christmas decorations and lights along Main Street, on the courthouse and the courthouse lawn.

When contacted about what was going on at the courthouse, Jerry Holmes tells me a story, after he gets down from the roof.

“I told Greg Hutto when we were up on the roof of the Courthouse today that if we fall off, at least we were making memories.”  said Holmes.

This seems to be the common theme among all the people working on the project.  The list includes First Electric, Greg Hutto, Jay Cupid, Men and Women of Community Services, and of course, Judge Jerry Holmes.  It is a tradition that started in the late 80’s and the family and friends who come to visit us during the holidays know they can count on Heber Springs to be festive.

An annual Christmas tradition in Heber Springs is the lighting of the historic Courthouse. The 2017 Christmas Lighting of the Cleburne County Courthouse to be celebrated at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2017, just before the Jack Frost Christmas Parade.
