Landon William Johnson recently received the Citizen of the Year Award from the Sugarloaf Masonic Lodge 414. This award is presented annually to an outstanding citizen of Cleburne County. It is the first time this has been given to a person under 21 years of age.
“Thank you, I am very honored to receive this award. Most of all I would like to thank God for the people he has put around me and the abilities he has blessed me with,” said Johnson.
Johnson is the son of Amber Williams and Deron Johnson, and has one brother Preston. He is a sophomore at Heber Spring High School.
Johnson was selected for this honor due to his involvement in church, mission trips to Haiti, academic achievements, multiple accomplishments and awards, leadership, athletic dedication in sports, and service as school representative on Heber Springs City Council. Overall, he was chosen due to his positive involvement in all facets of the Heber Springs community.
Johnson is noted for being a loyal friend, outstanding student, willing volunteer, dedicated athlete and for demonstrating respect to people of all ages. He is very proud to call Heber Springs, Arkansas his home.
