Prior to the Gillett Coon Supper, the Berry Pre-Coon Supper Reception to benefit the Marion and Carolyn Berry Scholarship Fund will once again be held in the Berry Farm Shop in Gillett. The event began during the time when Berry served in the House of Representatives. After he retired his son, Mitch, and several of his friends (that were interns for Berry when he was in office) decided to continue the reception as a benefit for ASU students.

The Reception will be from 3:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m on January 13. Tickets are $30 each and you may donate $500 to be a Berry Good Friend or $1000 to be a Berry Good Host.

As in years past, the Going Jessies will be entertaining guests with live music.

Presenting Sponsor is Anheuser Busch, Berry Good Hosts are: Riceland Foods, Boozman for Arkansas, Intralot, South Arkansas Telephone Company, Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas, Michael Langley, Wright, Lindsey and Jennings, Kum and Go and Arkansas Health Care Association. Berry Good Friends are: James Lee Witt and Associates, Capitol Advisors Group, Edwards Food Giant and Campbell Ward.

The Berry Pre-Coon Supper is the beginning of a night for politicians to mix and mingle while benefiting youth.
