The North Central Foundation for the Arts and Education is happy to present a unique concept in arts concerts. On Sunday, April 22, 2018, 2:00 PM; the Prince Street Bag Pipe Band will be presented in the sanctuary of the Presbyterian Kirk of the Hills.
The Prince Street Piper Band (PSPB) was formed over ten years ago by Chris Knife and his bagpipe students as a street band. Their mission was to further the art of Great Highland Bagpipes in the Central Arkansas Area.
The Band’s name is from Prince Street in Conway, the location of their first rehearsal location. Today, PSPB meets weekly at Grace Presbyterian Church in Little Rock for rehearsal and to offer beginning bagpipe instruction to those who are interested. Instruction is provided at no charge.
Although the founder and first pipe major, Chris, has moved for work reasons, the PSPB has four charter members who continue to participate. Currently eight pipers and three drummers comprise the band.
Please plan to join the excitement and learn more about the history of the music, the kilts and the instruments. This event, sponsored by NCAFA&E, will be a no charge event. However, donations will be cheerfully accepted on site to further the mission of NCAFA&E.
