To help dispel misinformation, the Sun Times has spoken with Teri Renner, Director of the Community School regarding the bus accident today. The bus was involved in an accident this morning when they were coming down the mountain on Hwy 25. The bus was traveling north and a vehicle traveling south lost control of their vehicle in the curve and crossed the center line and hit the bus at their back axle, knocking it off its axle and onto its side. There were 11children and an adult client plus the bus driver and an aide aboard. All are ok, one child was treated and released at Baptist Medical Center in Heber Springs.

“God has His hands on that bus today! Thank you to the first responders who did an excellent job of taking care of our kids!” Said Renner.

North Star, Heber Springs Fire Department and first responders and Cleburne County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the call.
