Students enrolled in the Food Safety course at Concord High School recently earned the ServSafe Food Handler Certificate. This is a national certification that basic food safety knowledge and is for individuals in food handler employee-level positions. Upon successful completion of the ANSI ASTM 2659 accredited Food Handler course and 40-question exam, students receive a Certificate of Achievement from the National Restaurant Association that can provide better employment opportunities in food service institutions. Their instructor, Ms. Kimberley Sartain, Ed.S., is a certified proctor for the course and has taught Family and Consumer Sciences for 22 years.
