Overall division winners received a NKJV Study Bible and a beautiful hand-crafted quilt made by the ladies of Quilters For Christ, a mission ministry of MTCC.

First place event winners received a feed bucket filled with equine first aid care including ointment, scissors, a roll of cotton, and vet wrap. They also received a jacket patch with the year and the MTCC logo embroidered by Linda Wallace and Quilters For Christ.

Second place event winners received a bag of grooming tools including sweat scrapers, bot knife, braiding bands, mane brush, and a grooming/shedding scrubber. Third place event winners received their choice of a MTCC T-Shirt or cap.

The horse show is a ministry of MTCC. According to Associate Pastor Jimmy Thomas, who heads up the church’s arena ministry, a family can watch and/or compete, be fed hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and water without a penny in their pocket.

“We don’t charge for anything. We don’t charge gate fees, entry fees, or for concessions,” said Thomas. “We present the message of Jesus during all of our arena events. We make new friends, talk with visitors, build relationships, and share Christ while we play on horseback,” he said.

The atmosphere is family-friendly and Christ-centered, from the opening prayer to only playing Christian music over the speakers.

“We are blessed to be a part of a church that 100 percent supports this ministry, not only financially, but in hours and hours of service planning and working these events. We couldn’t do this without them,” Thomas said.
