The Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office is holding a contest open to all students who reside in the county to design a t-shirt for the sheriff’s department. The t-shirt will be used to promote the new COPS methamphetamine grant. Sheriff Marty Moss secured the grant in an effort to combat the illegal use and manufacturing of methamphetamine in Cleburne County.
A copy of the rules is listed below and will be provided to area schools, public and private, in the county. If you are home schooled or attend a school in a neighboring county, but actually live in Cleburne County, you may submit your t-shirt design to the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office for the contest.
The rules are:
1. The student must reside in Cleburne County
2. The student must be enrolled in school, public or private, or be home schooled.
3. The student must put their name, grade, and school name on the back of their design.
4. The design should portray an anti-methamphetamine message.
5. The designs must be turned in to the school the student attends by April 1. Home schooled students and students attending school outside the county must turn their design in to the sheriff’s office by April 1 as well. The top five designs from each school and the top designs from home schooled students and students attending schools outside the county will be judged by the sheriff’s office to determine a final winning design.
6. The winning student will be notified by the school (or sheriff’s office if home schooled or attending a school outside Cleburne County) and will receive a free t-shirt with his or her picture submitted to the newspaper with the winning t-shirt design.
7. The winning design will be the property of the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office to be used on t-shirts and/or other promotional materials at the sheriff’s discretion.
