A burglary overnight Wednesday has the potential to affect approximately 9,000 people.
A computer server was stolen from McNair Eye Center on Industrial Park Road, east of Heber Springs. The server contains information for approximately 9,000 patients.
A burglar or burglars pulled a window air conditioning unit from a window, threw it on the ground, and entered the building. They reportedly turned security cameras toward the walls and only took the server.
The server is a dark silvery gray and is very heavy. If you have information that could lead to the recovery of the equipment, you can call the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Department at 501-362-8143.
If you have been a patient of McNair Eye Center, the sheriff’s department suggests you pay close attention to your bank and credit card accounts in case your information was on the server.
