Police beat for week of Dec 20-27, 2011

The Heber Springs Police Department reports the following incidents for the week of Dec. 20-27, 2011:

 

Police responded to a domestic call on North Broadway.  When they arrived, officers received witness reports claiming a man at the residence was making threats with a knife.  A white male who claimed he did indeed have a knife confronted police.   The incident appeared to be the result of a domestic argument.  A white male (39) was arrested and charged with domestic battery.  A white female (46) was arrested and charged with domestic batter.  A white male (30) was arrested and charged with obstructing governmental operations.

           

Police were called to investigate an alleged burglary on Rock Gardens Dr.  The person who filed the report claimed he discovered DVDs missing from his den.

 

A white female (19) was arrested and charged with shoplifting when video surveillance appeared to show her stealing various items from Fred’s department store, including candy, Sony earphones, and gift bags.
