Police beat for week of Jan 11 - Jan 17, 2012

The Heber Springs Police Department reported the following incidents for the week of Jan 10 to Jan 17, 2012:

 

On January 11, a water pump was reported stolen from a storage unit at Arrowhead & AAA Boat and Mini Storage.

 

On January 11, a 25-year-old white male was arrested at an address on Rock Gardens for Assault on a Family Member in the 3rd Degree.

 

On January 13, a 31-year-old white male was reported on Woodland West for allegedly going door-to-door and asking residents for a place to stay.  When officers arrived, the man was questioned and arrested for Public Intoxication.

 

On January 16, Michael Anthony Norris, 46, of Heber Springs was arrested at a local business and charged with one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Misdemeanor and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Felony.

 

On January 16, Northside Laundry on Highway 25B reported $650 missing.  Authorities are treating the case as a burglary.

 

On January 17, a boat motor was reported stolen on West Walnut St.
