A Jacksonville man was arrested around 11:30 a.m. Friday after Heber Springs police were called to the Cleburne County Courthouse on a report of a male screaming, cursing, hitting signs, and blocking traffic.

The man had been in the courthouse researching criminal files on his brother, became irate, and went outside to vent his anger.

Court was being conducted in the courtroom at the time of the incident and Cleburne County Sheriff Marty Moss was talking to the subject within a few seconds of the call.

Heber Springs Police Officer Stephen Griffin arrested the man for disorderly conduct. Alcohol was reportedly smelled coming from the man. A charge of public intoxication may also come about.
