Stewart Randolph Porter Sr. was born on September 25, 1941 to Henry and Emily Hannah Porter in Yazoo City, Miss. and died Tuesday June 23, 2009 in Rose Bud at the age of 67.

Lester McGowan, 42, of Little Rock passed away Saturday, June 20, 2009.  He was born in Heber Springs on December 2, 1966 to Myrtle E. McGowan and the late Leslie McGowan.

Pauline Pearl Bittle, age 88, of Greers Ferry passed away Friday, June 19, 2009, at Baptist Medical Center in Heber Springs. Born in Miller on April 26, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Dave and Pearl (Harmon) Verser.

Eugene Melvin Green, age 79, of Heber Springs passed away June 16, 2009 at White County Medical Center in Searcy. He was a retired auto worker and US Army Veteran. Born August 2, 1929 in Conway, he was the son of the late Sophronia Mar Spencer and William Henry Green.
Eugene worked for Ford Motor Company some 32 years before retiring and moving back to Heber Springs in 1984.

James A. Champ Siler, age 39, of Heber Springs, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at Baptist Health Medical Center.  Born in Benton Harbor, Mich., on March 5, 1970, he was the son of Barbara Barton Siler and the late James Anson Siler.

Richard Lee (Dick) Neal, 84, formerly of Heber Springs, passed away June 7, 2009 at the Bedford Hills Care Center in Bedford, N. H. after a brief illness.

Caroline Fadale Lamb of Fairfield Bay died June 3, 2009

Mr. Ira James Hill Jr., age 91, of Heber Springs, passed away June 2, 2009. He was born November 29, 1917 in Joliet, Ill., the son of the late Ira James Hill Sr. and Mary Agnes Burnes.

James A. Champ Siler of Heber Springs died June 10, 2009, at Baptist Health Medical Center. Born in Benton Harbor, Mich., on March 5, 1970, he was 39. He was the son of Barbara Barton Siler and the late James Anson Siler.

Janet Stair of Heber Springs passed away June 15, 2009 at her home. Born August 20, 1934 in Lincoln, Neb., she was 74. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Alice Barker.

Scott Anderson of Greers Ferry died at St. Vincent Hospice on May 28th.

Arthur Eugene Hitchcock was born on June 17, 1950 to Leroy and Helen Sutton Hitchcock in Peoria, IL and died on June 10, 2009 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was a retired handyman and he was of the Baptist Faith.

Bronson Leo Limkemann, age ten and a half months, of Bentonville, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2009, at Bentonville. Born in Rogers on July 16, 2008, he was the son of Beth Decker and Joseph Limkemann.

Margaret N. Gratzer, 89, died peacefully at home in Denver, NC, in the presence of family on June 2, 2009. She was born in Welland, Ontario, Canada and attended Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York, where she married and is survived by her husband of 65 years, Edward G. Gratzer.
