Alton Luther Jackson passed away May 15, 2018

Alton Luther Jackson the son of Hamer Garland Jackson and Laura Ellen Goff Jackson was born in Miller, Arkansas on January 13, 1940 and passed away at Heber springs, Arkansas on May 15, 2018 at the age of 78 years.

He was a semi-truck driver for 38 years for Time D. C., Strickland and also Plant Truck Line. He also had a cattle farm.  He also enjoyed making a garden each year and helping build the Miller Point Church on his days off.  Helping Elmer Gathright and Morris Brown in in the hay field. But he loved his family and his cattle and his dogs.  He would say did you feed the dogs or you better get home and feed them.

He was preceded in death by his parents Hammer Garland Jackson and Laura Ellen Jackson, a baby brother J. W. Jackson and his first wife Agnes McGowen Jackson.  He is survived by his wife Nellie Floyd Jackson and three step children: Larry Paszli and Doug of Cleveland, Ohio, Sheila Higgins and husband Steve of Santa Fe, Texas and Cindy Paszli Jones and Michael of Quitman, Arkansas, brother Sherman Neal Jackson,  two nephews Sherman Dale Jackson and Roy Leon Jackson, 2 great nephews Justin Jackson and Trey Jackson, 3 great nieces April Sims Holland, Mallory Ann Jackson and Mindy Dale Jackson all of Quitman, five grandchildren Ashley and Chris Higgins, Jeremy , Aaron, and Dakota Johnson and one great grandchild Conner Lee Johnson besides other relatives and many friends.

A visitation will be on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Family Funeral Service and funeral services will be in the Miller Point Church on Saturday, May 19, 2018 with a visitation at 1:00 P.M. and funeral service at 2:00 P.M. with burial in Flat Rock Cemetery by Pastor Billy Merritt and Pastor Jerry Richey

Pallbearers will be Sherman Dale Jackson, Roy Leon Jackson, Justin Jackson, Trey Jackson, Steve Higgins and Sherman Neal Jackson, Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Higgins, Stan Kennedy and Chance New.
