Milburn Lecil Cooper passed away October 23, 2018

Milburn Lecil Cooper, 84, of Sligo, passed away early Tuesday morning, October 23, 2018 at the Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sligo.

He was born on May 29, 1934 in Heber Springs, Arkansas; son of the late Lester L. and Melvina Adcock Cooper.

Milburn was married to Wanda L. Weeks on October 15, 1955, who preceded him in death on March 21, 2014.

He retired from Clarion University as an Electronics Technician after 30 years.

Milburn attended the Assembly of God Church in Clarion.

He enjoyed photography, studying the Bible, puzzles, spending time with his family, and in his younger years, playing the drums.

Milburn is survived by his children, Roger Cooper and his wife Vicki of Strattanville, LaVieta Lerch and her husband Otis of Sligo, Lisa Deemer and her husband Bob of Strattanville, James Greg Cooper and his wife Pat of Clarion, and Jeff Cooper and his wife Betsy of Strattanville, fourteen grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his sister, Betty C. Hammonds of Indiana and his brother, John Cooper and his wife Sue of Arkansas.

Milburn was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Visitation will be held from 1:00pm - 2:00pm on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Olmstead Funeral Home with services beginning at 2:00pm with Elder John Cooper officiating. Interment will follow in South Crossroads Cemetery.
