Betty Jean Thomas, age 75, of Prim, passed away at White River Medical Center in Batesville on February 10, 2010. She was born July 22, 1934, in Prim, the daughter of the late Amanda Carlton Hipp and Benjamin Hipp. She was a member of the Hilltop Holiness Church in Prim.
Betty enjoyed her family, quilting, sewing and gardening.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Liles, and great-grandson, Kolten McClain Morgan.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Billie Bryan Thomas; two sons, Randy Wayne Thomas of Heber Springs and David Bryan Thomas of Prim; two daughters, Judy Gail Turner and Loretta Faye Hartwick both of Prim; two sisters, Dell Crockett of Searcy and Georgie Everett of Prim; four brothers, Jearl Hipp of Peoria, Ill., Chester, Otto and Otis Hipp all of Prim; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and many friends.
Pallbearers were Chis Hartwick, Ben Hartwick, Tyler Thomas, Derrick Turner, Blake Thomas and Tim Morgan.
Funeral services were held February 13 at the Hilltop Holiness Church in Prim with Brother Dennis Knapp and Brother Tommy Toliver officiating. Burial followed in Everett Cemetery near Prim.
