Curtis Sid Johnson (USAF, Retired), age 78, of Quitman, Arkansas, passed away Monday, January 18, 2010, in Hot Springs.  Born at Fairbanks on December 23, 1931, he was the son of the late Ira and Gladys Bennett Johnson.
A longtime resident of Quitman, Mr. Johnson retired from serving in the United States Air Force with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant, and he was a member of the American Legion and the V.F.W.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Debbie.
Mr. Johnson is survived by two sons, Craig Johnson Sr. of Quitman and Douglas Johnson, Sr. of Hot Springs; his former wife, Delores Marla Johnson of Quitman; one sister, Sue Steirs of Wilmington, Del.; and his grandchildren, Craig Ira Johnson Jr., Joshua Monroe Johnson, Brandi McClendon, Cindy Baker, and Douglas Leroy Johnson Jr. Mr. Johnson is also survived by other relatives and his many friends.
Visitation for Mr. Johnson will be held Friday, Jan. 22, at Olmstead Funeral Home from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.  Graveside services with military honors provided by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard will follow at 2 p.m. at Cleburne County Memorial Gardens.  Members of the American Legion Post 64 will serve as pallbearers.
