Mrs. Betty Lou Gregory of Drasco was born September 30, 1934 in Helena, raised in Helena and while surrounded by her loving family, passed into eternal rest after a long illness on February 18, 2010 at the age of 75.
She joins her husband, Leonard; mother and father, Mildred and David Abel; brother, Bobby Abel; and many dearly loved friends and relatives in the House of the Lord. Mrs. Gregory was a Christian lady of Presbyterian faith and an accountant and homemaker.
Mrs. Gregory is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Rick Hartwick of Drasco; son and daughter-in-law, Leonard Jr. and Brenda of Heber Springs; and a sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Clay Novotney of Durango, Colo. She is also survived by two granddaughters, both of Drasco, Melissa Dill and husband, Jeremy; Brandy Strayer and husband, Steven; one grandson, Gabriel Bruce and wife, Christina of Conway; two great-grandsons: Tristen and Caleb Dill; and two soon-to-be born great-granddaughters, Brailey and Hailie Strayer; nieces, nephews and many friends.
Her hobbies included gardening, traveling, concerts, playing piano, and yard sales, yard sales and more yard sales.
Cremation followed her passing under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to The Christian Lighthouse Church, PO Box 199, Concord, AR 72523 or Cleburne County Hospice, 600 S. 11th Street, Heber Springs, AR 72543.
Memorial services are to be held at a later date.
