Lester McGowan, 42, of Little Rock passed away Saturday, June 20, 2009.  He was born in Heber Springs on December 2, 1966 to Myrtle E. McGowan and the late Leslie McGowan.
He is survived by five sisters, Carol Murrell and husband, Carey, of Burlington, N. C., Leslie McGowan Foulke and husband, Richard, of Little Rock, Wanda Adams, Juanita Palmer, both of Searcy and Oleda Matt, of Zachary, La.; two brothers, Johnny Dillard, of Eminence, Mo. and L.M. McGowan, of Little Rock; and fiancé, Jeanette Keating, of Heber Springs.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Layla Michelle McGowan; and three sisters, Shirley Haynes, Sharon Dacus and Carolyn Roland.
Funeral services were held June 25 at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial followed in Crossroads South Cemetery in Hopewell near Rose Bud.
