Heber Springs, Ark. -

Mrs. Edna Jean Farmer, age 87 of Lexington, Neb., formerly of Manila, died Friday, January 15, 2010, in Lexington, Neb.
She was the widow of Mr. George Farmer who passed away in 1983. Born in Manila, she was the daughter of the late James and Orzona Billingsley Vanzant and had been a life long Manila resident until moving to Lexington, Neb. four years ago. Mrs. Farmer was a long time faithful member of the Manila First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis Farmer and his wife, Gail, of Heber Springs and Robert “Butch” Farmer of Arcadia, Fla.; one daughter, Nancy Farmer Burns of Lexington, Neb.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held January 19 at Manila First United Church with Rev. Jerry Pentecost officiating. Burial followed in the Manila Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila.
