David W. Kaylor, age 78, of Quitman, passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 26, 2010.  Born in Cleburne County on November 21, 1931, he was the son of the late Ernest and Rhoda Forbus Kaylor.
A resident of Cleburne County for most of his life, Mr. Kaylor worked in the construction industry as a brick layer.  He loved gardening and hunting and was a member of the South Cross Roads Church.
Mr. Kaylor was preceded in death by his parents, his son Danny Joe Kaylor, and his brother Dennis Kaylor.
He is survived by his son Larry Kaylor and his wife Jackie of Kokomo, Ind.; four sisters Clorean Bray and her husband Thomas, Ella Dean Stacy and her husband Charles, Evelyn Bruce and her husband James, and Helen Simpson, two brothers Arnold Kaylor and his wife Mary and Austin Kaylor and his wife Winnie. Mr. Kaylor is also survived by three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, three great, great grandchildren, 18 nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held February 2 in the South Cross Roads Church with Rev. Robin Covington and Donnie Forbus officiating. Interment followed in the South Cross Roads Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Furlen Webb, Randy Adcock, Ricky Adcock, Leon Adcock, Donnie Forbus, and Jeff James.  Honorary Pallbearers were Kevin Herndon, Vernon Liles, Bonnie Tatum, Bill Bird and Hershel Barnett.
