I just began a new Coaching Class.  I coach people in Diet Wellness which includes Body Composition. I wanted to help my new class get up to speed quickly, so they could become successful without delay.  So I developed an article including important steps which helps develop valuable qualities for Success.
Of course the very same qualities are needed in any endeavor. So, I thought I would share this information with you.
No matter what your goal, there are steps you must take, and qualities you must develop to ensure your Success.
With that being said there are probably as many different goals as there are people.  But, just how do we go about achieving Success and realizing our Goals?
How can I be Successful?  The Success could be wellness, a size, the goal of being a sports champion, a famous singer – it could be anything you wish.  It could be becoming the best in your profession, or the best wife and mother you can be, or as a student-get the best grades to achieve future goals.
Let’s see what it takes to be Successful.
1. You need to begin by writing.  Yes, if you have a goal, write it down, and be specific about it.  You will be unable to achieve great success if you don’t write it down.  It would be like trying to go from your home to Disney World.  If you didn’t have the goal of reaching Disney World, would you ever get there?  You must know where you are going to reach that goal.  So, write it down and be as specific as possible.
There’s more to writing for success, but, go the following article for full details.
2.  Whatever it is that you want to achieve, you need to have a plan.  “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.”   So, formulate a plan, like your route from your home to Disney World.
3. Depending on your goal, you probably would do much better with a coach.  Preferably one who has already achieved Success with your particular goal.
If they have done it, they should know what it takes.  But, make sure he/she is determined, that they actually care about you, and have trained other successful people or champions-depending on what type of goal you have.
Oh, and after choosing your coach, let them do their job, don’t say I don’t want to do it that way.
Think, have I reached my goal yet? Until you do - take their advice or coaching expertise and run with it. (That means apply it)  A coach doesn’t do you any good if you don’t apply what he/she teaches you.
It takes commitment.  You must be committed to your own Success.   Do not be wishy-washy.  You must be committed and determined.
Until a new student learns the program and begins to see results; I appreciate the fact that they are committed to at least learning and beginning to apply it.  In that way they start to increase appreciation for this new program, and when they begin to see the benefits they can fully commit to it.
Along with commitment it goes into mind- set or attitude.   You need to be so determined in your mind; it is as if it has already been accomplished.  When you look into the mirror you see a champion, or yourself vital and healthy, or slim and trim.  You must see yourself at the peak of your particular Success.
It takes staying on track day after day.  If a person gets off track for a day, they must get right back on.  We are humans after all, and we all stray occasionally, but, we must brush ourselves off and get right back on it.
Another quality of Success is the ability to focus.  You must be focused, not sidetracked by people, situations, or other goals.  Only work toward and achieve one real important goal at a time so you are able to focus on it.
Put your self into the right situation.  You will not achieve success accidentally. There is no accidental success.
If your goal is to be a fabulous ice skater, you should work at a gym with a great coach along with others with the same goal.  You need to be in the right situation, a community of people working toward the same goal.   It takes the support of friends or peers along with your coach.  Yes, you do need the support of family, but, unless they are going through the same thing, join a community going where you want to go.   It makes the journey much easier as well as attainable.
9.  You must get out of your comfort zone to accomplish something important.  I know it is not easy, but it must be done.  Change does not mean it is comfortable.
I received a phone call from someone taking my class today that has taken it before.,   She called  to admit she didn’t apply one part of the program at that time-but, now she was and she was so happy to see and feel the results.  She took the challenge, got out of her comfort zone, and is getting the positive results that she wanted all along.
Like Winston Church said:  “Never, Never, Never give up.”  That statement is pretty self-explanatory.  If you give up you will not reach your desired goal.
Have I accomplished every goal I ever had? No.  But, the goals that I have reached or had success in, I used these steps and developed these qualities.   They work.
I hope this helps you whether you want to achieve wellness, a certain size, improve your bio-markers of health or become the best you can be in a particular sport, a profession or whatever you wish to achieve success in.
