The West Side Lady Eagles and Concord Pirates swept the Fairfield Bay Classic this past week, with the tournament starting at Mountain Ranch Golf Course in Fairfield Bay on Monday and action wrapping up at Tannenbaum Golf Course in Drasco Thursday afternoon.
 
The Lady Eagles finished atop the leaderboard after day one with a grand total of 350, with the Shirley Lady Blue Devils 21 strokes behind at 371. Kaylynn Finch led the way with a 107, as Avers finished with a 119, and Bristen Miller wrapped up the scoring with a 124.
 
The Pirates got out to a 20-stroke lead over their conference mate Shirley Blue Devils after their trio of seniors combined for a total of 269, compared to Shirley’s 289. Brooks Benton finished with a round of 87, with Ryan Brock following with an 89, Hunter Hartwick carding a 93, and Riley Cornett rounded out with a 187.
 
Returning after two days off, both the Lady Eagles and Pirates wrapped up their title runs after Finch claimed medalist honors after turning in a 95 to finish with a 202, with Avers contributing with a 115 and Miller following right behind with a 118, giving the team a grand total of 678, besting Shirley’s final score of 710. Hailey Gentry also added a 121 for West Side.
 
Brock earned medalist honors for the first time this season after finishing Thursday with an 81, finishing with 170 on the week as Cornett (86) and Benton (87) helped give the Pirates a three-player total of 523, with Hartwick (95) and Weston Pate (99) also contributing for Concord. Shirley finished behind in second with a 568. This is Concord’s third consecutive title in the tournament.
