Fresh off a title win in the Cougar Classic at Cherokee Village this past Wednesday, the defending Class 1A State runner-up Lady Eagles were back at it, seizing their third Fairfield Bay Classic championship in four seasons and second in a row after taking the top spot over Mt. Vernon-Enola 629-781 Thursday afternoon at Mountain Ranch Golf Course.

 On Monday at Tannenbaum, West Side led MVE 319-389 on Kaylynn Finch’s 91, followed by Gentry’s 109, Harness’ 120, and Kortnee Finch’s 119. Returning back to action on Thursday at Mountain Ranch, the Lady Eagles put the finishing touches on back-to-back Fairfield Bay Classic crowns, as Kaylynn Finch turned in her second straight round of 91, while Gentry (106), Harness (113) and Kortnee Finch (125) rounded out the team total.  Kaylynn Finch (182) and Gentry (215) swept medalist honors for West Side.

Conway St. Joseph won the boys division, with Maumelle Charter following (494-522). Maumelle Charter’s Cade Hansen took home the top individual prize with a combined two-day total of 158. Shirley’s boys came across the finish line with 593, with Nash Little putting together a strong performance of 165 (79-86). The Pirates of Concord had three boys and two girls compete in Adrian Stufflebeam (252), Kollin Clark (274), Dylan Byrd (248), Mattie Deckard (255) and Macy Deckard (277). West Side had one lone boy golfer compete, Robbie Schmidt, who turned in a 101 for the day.
