Panther hoops camp scheduled for July 6-8

Heber Springs Coach Kevin Kyzer and assistant Josh Wright are holding a youth basketball camp from July 6-8.
The cost is $35 per camper, which includes a t-shirt and pizza on the last day. To register, call Kyzer at (479) 879-4735 or you can sign-up the morning of the first day. The camp will run from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Concord Pirate golf scramble
set for July 11

A 4-person golf scramble that will benefit Concord athletics is scheduled for  Saturday, July 11 at Tannenbaum Golf Course.
The scramble costs $50 per person and begins with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Prizes will be awarded for each flight, including closest-to-the-pin and longest drive. To sign up, call (501) 362-5577 or (501) 250-5257.

Panthers picked second in 2-4A by Hooten’s

The Heber Springs Panthers are picked to finish second in the 2-4A conference this fall by Hooten’s 17th annual Arkansas Football publication, which takes a poll from all the coaches in the league.
Stuttgart is picked to win the league with Lonoke (3rd), Bald Knob (4th), Marianna (5th), DeWitt (6th), Clinton (7th) and SS Batesville (8th).
Rose Bud is picked 7th in the eight-team 2-3A and Quitman is 8th in the nine-team 5-2A.

Pangburn hoops camps coming
July 20-27

The Pangburn Lady Tigers are hosting two basketball camps camps from July 20-23. The 1st-4th grade girls camp is from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and the 5th-9th grade girls camp runs from 5-9 p.m.
Also, Tiger basketball camp for boys entering 5th-9th grade is scheduled for July 27-30 from 5-9 p.m.
Each camp costs $50. There are discounts given to those with two or more children attending these camps. For  more information call Coach Christi Rolland at 501-728-4562.

Quitman youth football camp set for July 20-23

Quitman Coach Fritz Heidenreich is holding a youth football camp from July 20-23.
Cost is $35 which includes a t-shirt. Various awards will be given. Players can register the day of the camp or pick up a registration form in the Quitman High School office. Also, the camp will be from 6-8 p.m. except on Wednesday it will run from 3-5 p.m. Call 501-208-3268 for additional information.
