With several inches of rain that fell in Cleburne County all week, and several inches more than fell overnight Thursday, streets became creeks, creeks became rivers, and rivers became dangerous.

No injuries have been reported. A few trees blew down with the strong winds and the saturated ground couldn't hold any more water, flooding many areas. At least one family and their dogs had to be evacuated from their home Thursday night after water crept up to their door.

A Cleburne County Sheriff's patrol car was lost in high water on Newman Road. Deputy Todd Maxey made it to safety. Several Roads were impassable due to high water.
