Cities like Seattle have banned plastic straws and utensils at "all food service businesses, including restaurants, grocery stores, delis, coffee shops, food trucks, and institutional cafeterias" and the trend is catching hold with companies like Starbucks vowing to eliminate plastic straws by 2020 or put “straws available upon request” on menus. While there are still some issues to work out -- people with disabilities often need a straw, including a plastic version -- many are also eliminating the use of plastic straws in their own homes. But what if you like using a straw? Don’t get caught strawless!
