The “Oddities of the Cherokee Advocate” exhibit will be on display May 5-Nov. 24 at the Cherokee National Supreme Court Museum, 122 E. Keetoowah St. in Tahlequah, Okla., and features original excerpts from the paper alongside work from Cherokee artists complementing their favorite stories. Items in the exhibit date from 1844 to 1906.

A lunchtime discussion on the exhibit and the history of the Cherokee Advocate will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the museum. Guests are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch. The museum will offer free admission throughout the day.
