Wilburn Firefighters responded to a structure fire at an empty house on Rainbow Island, Wednesday night. The home which was not occupied, several units of the Wilburn Fire Department responded including JoAnna Vaughan, Anthony Blackwood, Quinton White, Todd Maples, Brian Siler, Brian Moorehead, Karen Siler, Cynthia Redd, Bobby Hill, Ivery Hill, Willie Baker and Chief Bo Siler. They responded with two engines, two tankers, one brush truck and one service truck. One of the trucks that responded was the only one of its kind in Arkansas, according to Chief Bo Siler. “This truck has 1500 feet of five inch hose and it reels itself in and out. It can lay a five inch water main so tanks have a constant supply of water when battling a fire.” Siler told The Sun Times.
The fire was contained to the back porch and the back part of the home.
