Fort Smith police are investigating a reported robbery stemming from denied sexual advances.
A hospitalized woman Friday told officer Darroyl Sanders a man driving her home from Foxfire Club, 423 N. 10th St., hinted at wanting sexual interactions with her. She said she asked to get out of the car, and that the driver pushed her down and hit her multiple times, according to the incident report.
The woman said she got away, but the man took her purse with her cellphone and $380 cash, the report states.
The woman said a friend of hers on Friday found her purse at Tilles Park, 1017 N. 37th St. She also said she found the man with her phone at Suzie Q's, 707 N. Greenwood Ave., and that he returned it to her after she confronted him. She said her money was the only thing she hadn't found, the report states.
Sanders observed scrapes and bruises on the woman's body from the night before. She also told him her ankle and wrist hurt.
