Because several inquiries continue to be made concerning their upcoming performances of the play "Send Me No Flowers", the folks at "12 Baywood", Heber Springs' live theatre venue, are excited to introduce, and reintroduce, some special people to the community:
Kasey Goddard, veteran to the local stage, will take on the very funny, but very difficult role of Dr. Ralph Morrisey. That's right, she is playing a "he". But don't be thrown by that. Kasey will also be playing a very female floozy in the same production!
Director, actress, singer.... Senior classmates at Heber Springs High School voted Kasey "most talented". She was a major participant in Heber Theatre, the forerunner to 12 Baywood. Kasey directed "Dracula Baby", then acted under "12 Baywood" founder and director Jeff Craddock in "Faith County" (again for Heber Theatre), but her favorite role was in "Always a Bridesmaid" in which she shared the stage with her daughter, Lauren. Heber Theatre producer June Painter relocated to Oklahoma in 2014, but had asked Cleburne County new arrival Craddock to continue live theatre in Heber Springs. Kasey has had major roles in each of the previous "12 Baywood" plays, those being "Beginner's Luck", "God's Favorite" and "The Dining Room".
Kasey Goddard's life is not all "drama". Her very first job was at the local Sonic where she met fellow employee John, and the rest is history, and that history includes kids Logan, Zak and Lauren. A wonderful recent addition is grandbaby Mallory. Kasey also enjoys singing contemporary Christian music at First United Methodist Church, scrapbooking, board games and volunteer work. A charity for whom Kasey has done volunteer work is Breakin' Bread, one of the recipients of donations given to "12 Baywood" by the theatre patrons. "12 Baywood" is proud to not charge an admission fee, but does accept gifts for a variety of local charities, including The Other Side, Freedom Way Ministries, and next on the list, Margie's Haven House.
"12 Baywood" will present the famous comedy "Send Me No Flowers" in late November. Seat reservations will be taken next month. More information is available by calling 501 206 6868 or 501 270 1450.
