Elizabeth Ann "Betsy" Camper passed away November 14, 2018
Elizabeth Ann "Betsy" Camper was born on July 17, 1925 in Erwin, Tennessee to Henry and Carrie Harper Cheek. As the baby of the family, she enjoyed many of the perks that came with that title.
Betsy graduated from East Tennessee State University with degrees in Elementary Education and Home Economics. She taught for several years before marrying the love of her life Jimmy. In 1975 the Camper family moved to Heber Springs where Jimmy was the hatchery biologist at the Greers Ferry National Fish Hatchery. It was there that Betsy began a 32 year career as a substitute teacher. Many former students tell of their joy of seeing her arrive in her blue VW Beetle, dressed to the hilt, with perfect lipstick and nail polish.
Jesus scheduled Betsy's heavenly homecoming on November 14, 2018. She leaves her daughters and their husbands Robby and Travis Wright and Carrie and Billy Pennington. She also has two granddaughters Harper Baston and Carrie Rae Wright, whom she adored, and her precious kitty, Mary Brown, as well as many friends and loved ones.
Momma, we love you.
