Tumbling Shoals/Ida, Wilburn, Pine Snag, Hopewell, Heber Springs and Cove Creek/Pearson Fire Departments participated.   They held a class on Friday night and the practical portion on Saturday at Heber Rec.

More Joint training was done on Monday, February 4 at the Community Center in Heber Springs, with Wilburn, Pine Snag, Cove Creek and Heber Springs Fire Departments in attendance. Ross Cothren Training Coordinator led the class. Cothren discussed injuries to firefighters and how to prevent them. He told the group that structure fires have been named the new haz-mat and cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of firefighter fatalities.

It is through training such as this that keeps our area fire departments working together efficiently.
