My name is Bevis. I arrived at the shelter two years ago as a six-month old puppy. I was in bad shape and covered in mange but look at me now. I’m a handsome black shepherd/lab mix looking for a forever home. I like people, but other animals not so much. Maybe we could pal around together exploring the country, driving a truck or just enjoying ourselves. How about it? I really need out of the shelter. For a meet and greet go to the website Heberspringshumane society.com and complete an adoption application. I would be forever grateful.

Buck didn’t make it to Paws at Beach but still needs a home. The event was a success in spite of the rain. There will be a general meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday Oct. 14, at city Hall. Silent auction for five-hour pontoon rental donated by Dam Site Marina ends at 2 p.m. Saturday Call in your bid at the thrift store or stop by. Shelter wish list, dog and cat food (very low on cat food), dawn, toilet paper, bleach, disinfectant, copy paper, volunteers.
