Larry Dean Goins passed away December 11, 2017

Larry Dean Goins, 62, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away at his home on December 11, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.  Larry was born on December 1, 1955 in Batesville, Arkansas to Alvie and Daisy (Swafford) Goins.  Larry was a faithful member of Arbanna Baptist Church in Mountain View, Arkansas and worked for most of his life as a cattle farmer.  Larry enjoyed hunting, horseback riding and spending time with his family.  Larry’s wife of 37 years, his son, daughter-in-law, and his grandbabies were the light of his life.  Larry loved the Lord his Savior and his church family.

Larry is survived by his mother, Daisy (Swafford) Goins; his wife, Janice (Moser) Goins; one son, Dakota Goins and wife Autumn; one brother, Michael Goins and wife Patsy; three sisters, Patricia Helms and husband Bruce, Rita Garlin and husband Bobby, Tammy Cooper and husband Robbie; two grandchildren, Jackson Sutterfield and Montana Goins; along with a host of nieces and nephews, extended family and friends; as well as many adopted grandchildren.  

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Alvie Goins, and one nephew, Jason Helms; paternal grandparents, Henry and Renda Goins, and maternal grandparents, HC and Laura Swafford.

Visitation for Larry will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, from 6:00-8:00PM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, 1:00PM at Arbanna Baptist Church in Mountain View, Arkansas with Brother Jim Chandler and Brother Glen Swafford officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Friendship Cemetery in Ben, Arkansas.

Pallbearers are Jeremy Goins, Jamie Goins, Brandon Dayberry, Tyler Garlin, Cody Cooper, Jonathan Cooper, Jason Reynolds, and Lance McElroy.  Honorary pallbearers are Ron Sims, Dr. Ryan Hall, Gary McClung, Matt McClung, Roger Swafford, Heath Holland, Henry Primm, Keith Phillips, Nollie Ingram, and staff and friends at Carti.

Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
