Thank you for your service to our country!

A 22 year plus veteran for the United States Air Force with two tours of duty in Vietnam.

Frank was born in Cadillac, Michigan on March 25, 1934 and died in his home on beautiful Greers Ferry Lake

on September 22,2018. He grew up in Cadillac, Michigan and as a young boy delivered the Cadillac Evening News paper. He was a life member of the VFW ,Post 4548, Jacksonville, Arkansas and a member of the American Legion Post 64, Heber Springs, Arkansas and a member of the Retired Enlisted Association.

After retirement from his job as civilian employee of he Army he moved to beautiful Greers Ferry Lake where he enjoyed man hours and days of fishing. He was also an avid hunter and collector of vintage signs.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Schmidt, sons Bryan Schmidt (Jo) of Beebe, Troy Schmidt
(Pattie) of Cabot, AR and daughter Renata Halferty ( Mike) of North Little Rock.

Two grandchildren, Jacob Schmidt of California and Casey Carter of North Little Rock,
step-grand daughter, Tiffany Lawrence Zimmerman f Bauxite and great granddaughter,
Adelynn Zimmerman. His also survived by two sister, Rosemary Dressler of Kentwood, Michigan

and Peggy Comp (Jack) of Tucson, Arizona.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, Frank and Evelyn (Tozer)
Schmidt and step son Paul Kelly Lawrence, and sister Frances Johnson of Cadillac. Michigan.

Frank was a very generous man, always willing to help those in need. He was of the catholic faith.

A memorial service will be held at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 28, 2018.

A celebration of his life will be at the American Legion Post 64 at a later date.
