Robert Roy Noble, Jr. passed away October 7, 2018
Robert Roy Noble, Jr. the son of Robert Roy (Jack) Noble and Ica Lee Hancock Noble was born in Swartz, Louisiana on February 14, 1925 and passed away in Little Rock, Arkansas on October 7, 2018 at the age of 93 years.
Robert was a member of St. Albert’s Catholic Church in Heber Springs. He was a veteran of World War and a Retired Lt. Commander of the United States Coast Guard. He worked as a volunteer for 30 years Cleburne County Cares. He was a master woodworker and volunteered in missionary ministries in Honduras. He took many missionary trips sponsored by Christ the King in Little Rock and was honored by a school named after him. The Robert Roy Noble School in Trujillo, Honduras.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert (Jack) Noble and Ica Lee Noble, and a son, Robert Roy Noble III. He is survived by his wife Margaret Anne Sullivan Noble, a daughter Martha Gilbert and husband Robert of Davenport, Iowa, two sons, Donald Kevin Noble and wife, Bernice, of Maumelle and Steven M. Noble of Heber Springs, a brother Donald Frank Noble of Crossett and a sister LaNell Murphy of Crossett. Robert is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren besides other relatives and many friends.
A visitation will be held at Family Funeral Service on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and a Rosary will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Albert’s Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. and internment in Cleburne County Memorial Gardens.
