Robin Elizabeth Mix, the daughter of Jackson Thomas Mix and Alice P. Steed Mix, was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on September 1, 1954, and passed away in Searcy, Arkansas on February 23, 2019 at the age of 64 years of age.  She was surrounded by her friends Lynda, Kim, Peggy and McKenzie at the time of her death.

Survivors are her brothers, Jackson Leonard Mix of Pearson, Jackie Massey (Doris) of Hopewell, Greg (Angie) Mix of Heber Springs, Tom Mix of Heber Springs, one sister Kim Mix-Rankin of Quitman, and a step-mother Mary Mix of Heber Springs.  Survivors also include the following nieces and nephews; Beth (Dan) Lister of Heber Springs, Jackson (Kayla) Mix of Mt. Vernon, Jeff (Kaitlyn) Mix of Heber Springs, Alex (Brad) Bennett of Quitman, Tate Stacks of Quitman, Amy (Davey) Stephens of Guy-Perkins, Joey Massey of Rosebud and Terrie Massey of Hopewell, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.         

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jackson Thomas Mix and Alice P. Steed Mix, her brother Jeffrey Mix, her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Gordon S. Steed and Mr. and Mrs. Addie C. Mix, and a niece Lynn Mix.   

Robin worked with her father for many years at Kimberly Clark in Conway.  She also worked for Family Services in Searcy, and the Arkansas State Crime Lab.  Robin had a big heart and that was evident to all those she came into contact with.  She inspired others around her with love and kindness.  Robin loved animals and this love of animals led to the creation and production of a dog magazine called Arkansas Dawg.  Robin was a lot of fun, loved to travel and spend time with family and friends.  Robin loved the Ocean and Greers Ferry Lake.

Robin’s celebration of life will take place on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Palestine Baptist Church, 389 Edgemont Road, Quitman, Arkansas.  Brother Pat Watson will be officiating the service.
