On Monday, April 13, 2020, Betty Joyce Presley Parish, loving wife and mother of six children passed away at her home in Rose Bud, Arkansas. She was surrounded by her husband, children and grandchildren. She was born on March 12, 1943 in Rose Bud, Arkansas to the late Kalip V. Presley and Myrtle Ruth Haney Presley.

Betty was preceded n death by her parents, one baby girl Harris, one sister Velois Jean Harris and one infant great-grandchild Jayden Asher Templeton.

She is survived by her husband Wakco Dotson Parish of Rose Bud, Arkansas, her 6 children Joyce Holden and her husband Alvin of Denmark, Arkansas, Nina Edwards and her husband Brian of Muldrow, Oklahoma, Jerry Parish and his wife Robin of Rose Bud, Arkansas, Judy Reddick and her husband Charles of Rose Bud, Arkansas, Joe Parish and his wife Kim of Heber Springs, Arkansas and Jeff Parish and his wife Emily of Rose Bud, Arkansas, one sister Nina Ruth Sparkman of Watsonville, California, 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, several cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Betty was known for her quick wit, infectious smile and her kind compassionate spirit. She was a child of God and attended Liberty Hill Praise and Worship Church in Rose Bud.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am – 6:00pm on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at Olmstead Funeral Home. (friends are invited to come and go during those times). A private service for family will be held at Liberty Praise and Worship Center with Bro. Danny Starkey officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
