On Wednesday, October 14, 2020, Rex Davidson, loving husband, and father of two children passed away at age 79.

Rex was born on August 1, 1941 in Heber Springs, Arkansas to the late Johnnie and Carvell Davidson.

Rex graduated from Heber Springs High School in 1961. On August 26, 1962 he married Bonnie Hutchins Davidson. They raised one son Terry Davidson and one daughter Sherry Davidson Fausett.

Rex’s hobbies were doing different kinds of woodwork, making walking canes and knives, which he sold at the market in Beebe, where he enjoyed meeting other vendors and getting acquainted with them in later years. In his early years, Rex was a builder, building homes in and around Heber Springs and Greers Ferry Lake. He lived in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma for five years in the 80’s before returning home to Heber Springs to start his own business with his son Terry Davidson. He loved fishing on the Little Red River and also on Greers Ferry Lake. He also enjoyed hunting, especially deer hunting.

Rex was preceded in death by his father Johnnie Davidson and his mother Carvell Smith Davidson.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie Davidson, his son Terry Davidson, his daughter Sherry Fausett, his grandson Justin Davidson and wife Kelly, his granddaughter Christina Murphy and her husband Justin, and his grandson Curtis York and his wife Jackie, eight great-grandchildren, his sister-in-law Jennie Haughaboo and her husband David and his brother-in-law LC Hutchins and his wife Margie. Mr. Davidson is also survived by his other relatives and many friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30pm on Friday, October 16, 2020 in the South Cross Roads Cemetery with Rev. Mike Lindley officiating.
