FAYETTEVILLE — Braydon Webb, the often alternating left fielder on the nationally No. 1 SEC champion Arkansas Razorbacks baseball team, was arrested after 2 a.m. Sunday following an apparently alcohol involved altercation at a hot dog stand in Fayetteville.

According to a Fayetteville Police report, Webb was alleged to have cut in the line at the hot stand on Dickson Street and West Avenue and after he was refused service push a table toward one of the stand’s workers and broke a mobil credit card reader slamming it to the ground.

The worker, identified in the report as Cody Yancey, was reported then to have struck Webb and restrained him until police arrived and reported Webb to have bloodshot eyes and slurred speech.

“We are aware of the incident involving Braydon Webb and are gathering information from the proper authorities,” Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn said in a statement Sunday. “We will make a determination regarding his status once we have reviewed all of the information.”

Webb was released at 8:30 a.m. Sunday on a $200 bond.

Though only hitting .179, Webb has hit five home runs and as Arkansas’ best defensive left fielder has split the position with Zack Gregory.
